A Journey of Reflection and Personal Transformation

The 40 Days with Rumi Programme is an invitation to bring Rumi’s teachings into your everyday life.

Rather than reading many poems at once, the programme asks you to spend a little time with Rumi each day for 40 days.

Every day introduces a carefully selected verse, story or teaching, accompanied by a short explanation and a question or exercise for personal reflection.

The purpose is not to study more.

It is to notice more.

One Teaching. One Reflection. One Day at a Time.

Each day follows a simple journey:

Read — Begin with a selected verse or teaching from Rumi.

Understand — Explore its meaning through a short and accessible explanation.

Reflect — Consider how the teaching relates to your own experiences, relationships and choices.

Practice — Take one small idea into your day and observe what happens when you consciously apply it.

Some days may encourage you to think about love or relationships. Others may ask you to examine anger, judgement, fear, attachment, gratitude, patience or the way you respond to difficulties.

The exercises are simple, but the questions can be profound.

Why 40 Days?

Across many traditions, forty days represents a period of reflection, transition and renewal.

Rumi reminds us that real understanding does not come simply from collecting knowledge. It develops when we observe ourselves, question our assumptions and allow experience to become our teacher.

The 40-Day Programme therefore creates space for Rumi’s teachings to move gradually from something we read to something we experience.

There are no examinations and no right or wrong answers.

Just a few minutes each day, a teaching from Rumi, and your willingness to reflect.

Your 40-Day Journey

Day 1: Begin with a question.
Day 40: Look back at the person who began.

What changed?
What did you discover?
What do you now see differently?

Forty days. Forty encounters with Rumi. One journey — your own.
